[ Shinjiro has kept himself locked away in his room for the past day, alternately pacing, growling, and throwing random tantrums that ended with cartons of milk strewn about his room from the closet and other similar refuse of vain attempts at slaking his hunger.

He's kept calm simply by reminding himself this was all the mansion, as Arisato had told him, this was someone's memory, and it would all be over.

...but when? He doesn't know how much longer he can take this.

When he speaks, there's a low, inhuman growl behind his words. ]

It's one of those event things, right? How the fuck long do they last, anyway?

[About fifteen minutes later, Yuu's made his way downstairs and knocks at Shinjiro's door.]

[He'd spent the time between his last response to Yuu and him knocking pacing and trying to get his head in order.

He was quiet for some time after the knock before pulling the door open slowly.]

Yuu?

[He nods, trying not to look nervous at meeting Shinjiro for the first time.]

[Yuu does so, watching him carefully. He'd considered bringing a weapon along, but that didn't really go along with the whole volunteering thing. And besides, it had been totally ineffectual against Minato.]

[Yuu nods and offers him his wrist. Because letting someone he barely knows bite his neck is a little weird for him.]

[He eyed the offered risk with a mixed expression of apprehension and intrigue. He could smell the other man's blood pulsing beneath his flesh, so close it was intoxicating.

Shinji had never been good at avoiding intoxication. His hands darted out quickly and pulled Yuu's wrist to his lips. He opened his mouth wide and bit, sinking his fangs into the flesh there, and feeling the blood erupt to the surface. Drank, and it was good and disturbing and at last, when he fought, he was able to stop before hurting the guy.]

[Yuu pulls his wrist away when his vision turns dark around the edges, bracing himself against the wall with his other hand.]

Is that...better?

[He responds by pulling a cloth out of his coat pocket and wrapping it around Yuu's wrist to staunch the bleeding.]

Better, yeah.

[He's a little surprised by Shinjiro's actions, but smiles slightly.]
